Alright, so here's the scoop:
Yes we added on San Francisco HOWEVER looking and doing the final mapping out and hotels and blah blah blah I've hit a snag.
So we originally thought to arrive and stay at the Grand Canyon. Yeah, cheapest hotel there is almost $300+. SO looking around and seeing maybe if we can't stay somewhere close but not too close there are some options. But those options have brought up other options. So here's my dilemma:
1) Stay in Page, AZ. This is super close to Antelope Canyon, Lake Powell and Horseshoe Bend. Seriously if you don't know any of these places, google them now - it's worth it. Spectacular natural wonders to experience and I've always wanted to see Antelope Canyon (bucket list). If we forgo San Fran and spend those extra days in Arizona, we can get some amazing hiking in. Is my body up for that? I would like to believe it is, but I dunno. I also think that doing it and pushing through is worth it for the lifetime of memories (and artwork!) it would produce.
2) Stay in Page but forget the hiking and continue through to Grand Canyon and etc, seeing the Redwoods (also something I've to my bucket list now that I know it exists) and going to San Francisco. In San Fran we are looking at doing Alcatraz, cable cars and Chinatown (seriously Chinatown is like on my bucket list. I'm probably more looking forward to that than Alcatraz).
UGH I'm so conflicted. I really don't think we have time to do both as it already feels like we are cramming so much in...
Thoughts? Ideas? Guidance?

Added More Stops!
So Kels and I sat down and mapped out the trip and after doing some figuring we are going to make it a circle trip.
This means that we are going to travel up to San Francisco. Kels told me about the Redwoods and I really want to see them now. We figure we will still be home 2ish days early. It's going to be a long driving trip but we are going to see so much.
Kels is getting SUPER excited. He talked about it all weekend (and this morning lol). I am getting down to the nitty gritty - I got some planning to do. Restaurants, places to stay, sites of interest, tickets to main attractions and all that jazz. LOL does anyone else go through this? Seems like a lot of work.
Ah well the more planning I do ahead of time the better time we will have cause we won't have to worry about those things when we are on the road.

Planning
Time has been booked off, now the planning begins in earnest.
Ultimately we have planned for a 17 day road trip. We will be hitting all the "big" sites - Old Faithful, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Disneyland etc. We will be officially leaving Friday May 13th and getting home Sunday May 29th. I believe it will be easier for family and friends to have one place to go to to read if we are ok, see what we are seeing and generally follow us on our grand adventure.
Kels & I have never done a trip this big in our married life, so it will be fun to go by ourselves and do what we want to do and see what we want to see. We can't wait now and are getting super excited.
I will sporadically post before we go with up dates on plans but the main goal is to post daily if not every second day when we actually leave. I want to post pictures and funny little stories of our trip.
Come with us on our adventure!!
The count down is on!!
